What We Have Done So Far To Save Energy

Me and my brother are doing good with walking places we wanna go instead of having our parents drive us. When we wanna walk to the store or hang with friends that live near by we just walk to their houses. My parents on the other hand, well, they like to drive instead of walking, but they are trying. My mom and I are doing good about thinking about what we want before we open the fridge. I still need a little help with that, but for the most part I'm doing good with that. My brother isn't doing very good with thinking about what he wants first because sometimes he is just hungry but isn't sure what we wants, he just looks and when something looks good, he takes it. We are not doing good with using fans instead of ACs. That is because the AC gives of more cool air than a fan and my house can get really hot so we just turn on the AC. My brother is really good with playing outside, but he also watches a lot of TV and goes on the computer a lot. I've been sick lately, so I haven't been going outside a lot. We aren't doing that good with using the microwaves instead of the conventional oven because my mom likes to cook really nice meals and they have to be cooked in the conventional oven. But we are using the microwave as much as possible. My whole family is doing really good at using reusable water bottles instead of non reusable ones.

What My Family Does To Save Energy

We turn off our TVs when we are done watching them. We turn off our lights when we leave a room, and sometimes we don’t even turn them on. We switched some of our lights to the swirly energy saving ones. We recycle a lot. We use both sides of the paper instead of throwing the first one away. We take shorter showers than we used to. We turn off the water when we brush our teeth. We turn off our computer whenever we don’t use it. We use rechargeable batteries. We use a cloths line in the summer to dry our cloths. We donate cloths we don’t want to Goodwill.

Things My Family Can Do To Save Energy

Ride a bike or walk instead of driving somewhere. When we want to open the fridge, think of what we want first. We can use fans instead of ACs in the summer. We can play outside instead if watch TV/computer. Whenever possible, we can use microwaves or toaster ovens instead a conventional oven. We can also use reusable water bottles.
